It All Paid Off

So I am so super excited!!!! So for most of you, you know that I am married but my husband is gone alot at work and he is not active in the Church. So for the past 11 years I have taken my kids to church by myself, which was fine until I got to babies 19 months apart, then it got hard. I was nursery leader...primary pianist...young women pianist...primary secretary...Relief Society Chorister...Relief Society pianist...Activity Days Leader...and now 2nd Counselor in the Relief Society presidency, all with in the past 5 1/2 years. So taking three kids to church alone every Sunday was a little difficult at times, now don't get me wrong I realize it could have been worse. But all those times of fighting kids to get ready and coaxing them to go to their own class and comforting the insecure tears and grounding them from their bikes because of misbehavior in Sacrament meeting or primary has finally paid off. I am so relieved and excited. Taylor of course is not a problem in primary any more but believe me she hated nursery. Haegen is at an age finally were he will go to primary with out to much of a big effort. Now Bryce, he did not like to go and sit through primary and the teachers would have to come and get me a few times because he wouldn't sit still or wouldn't listen to the teachers. But today he went into class which he has done before from time to time but, after church he was telling me all about what he had learned today. It was so exciting for me to hear what my little boy has taken into his little brain. He was also excited to tell me. Each week I ask the kids what they learned in primary? Taylor will tell me what she learned and Haegen will tell me what he learned but Bryce would always say nohan (nothing). So thank you to all the wonderful teachers and examples that my kids encounter. I hope they truly know that they do make an impression in little lives. I just have to tell you...Bryce had a really good sunbeams teacher and he actually would not fight to go then, she was released about 4 or 5 months ago and she is still referd to as Bryces teacher, not Mandy but Bryces teacher I think it is to funny. I know that my kids will have many more people touch there lives as time comes, and I only hope that I can do the same for some one out there.

Change

So today I had a open house for my Partylite, thanks Mandy and Joey for being the only ones to show up. So we let the kids play in the water and have fun on Joey's big blow up water slide..Well Mandy had to leave and Joey and I were just sitting around and I said hey let's paint my wall...so we did. This pictures with Bryce is the only one I could find to show the before................ and these are the after....they are not very good picture's but you can get the hint. I really like it...my front room gets so dark because the light doesn't come in and I don't' have a light in my celling, yep it's one of those dumb homes where they didn't think they needed a light in the celling.

So any way that was my big exciting day. Don't worry there is more to be done in this house. I'll have to have more parties and get who shows up to help me paint. Hint hint Mandy, you can come again and help me since you are so talented. I'll have one stylin house.

Oh How they Grow

So not a very exciting day. All I did today is take Heather her birthday present and clean my house, trying to get ready for my open house party tomorrow. Boy o boy are my kids some good helpers. Some times I forget how big they are really getting. Taylor and Haegen mowed both lawns and picked up the yard. Bryce even chipped in and helped he usually sit back and let's everyone else do it for him.. So thanks to my kids who can really get right in and help when they are asked to. My problem is asking them to I usually just do it myself. That is so dumb of me because it does not teach them anything. So I am trying hard to let them step up to the plate and it makes my life alot easier and their life more fulfilling.

Mean Mom

So my sweet little Bryce told me that I am a mean mom tonight. Talk about break my heart. So this is how it happened.....After we got home from lighting fireworks at Grandma and pa peterson's house they were all wound up and would not go to bed. I let them watch a movie to try to get them to mellow out...ya right. So I went in there room and turned off the T.V. well here comes the tears, and the your mean mommy.
How could I be a mean mommy to this sweet little face. I tried to explain to him that mommy was tired and wanted to go to bed and when mommies get tired they get grouchy. Well he was just to tired to hear it and wouldn't talk to me. When my sweet little Bryce is mad he is mad. So I guess tomorrow he will probably forget that he has a mean mom until something happens. He is the biggest drama child I have. But he also is one of the happiest kids I have ever seen to. I love him and I am glad that he is apart of our family.

My Silly Boys

Is that not the silliest pictures you have ever seenHaegen and Bryce are the biggest nuts sometimes. They had these ugly teeth and put them in then had their sister take the picture of them. They have been playing all day with each other actually really good today, not one fight. Bryce looks hilarious the teeth are bigger then his little face. He has been Haegen's doggy all day today. They play the funniest games. Like their bikes are motorcycles, Bryce is a dog, they live in the sand box making towns, and many more silly games. I am glad that they have each other to be best friends with . I hope that they always stay close.

Just Another Day

So I was just sitting around thinking about how lucky I am. I have a good husband, great kids and wonderful friends. I have even made some new friends lately and got in touch with an old friend. But, I still have my long time friend of 15 years. We both took the princess test and big surprise we were both the same princess. How funny is that. Tonight I had my little niece and I heard them talking It was so funny. Haegen 5 yrs..let's go swimming , Ellcie 3yrs old...ok one time I was drowning and my dad grabbed me and pulled me up. Bryce 4 yrs old... ya one time I was drowning and my dad jumped in and saved me A LIVE. I was trying so hard not to laugh. The incident Bryce was referring to was a year ago at Little America when we were all getting out of the pool and yep, Bryce jumped in by himself and was drowning Rhett ran and jumped in and pulled him up. I said Bryce were you drowning...ya, could you breath...nope, and he is just as calm as could be. That's my little dare devil for ya.
So my friend had her baby today he is so cute. He has two older sisters, 4 and 2 so he will be well taken care of. Welcome to the world Baby Brogan Happy Birthday!!!!
I had a presidency meeting tonight and when I got home my great kids had cleaned the upstairs. Taylor did the dishes, Haegen cleaned the bathroom, and Bryce picked up shook kitchen rugs and said mom I will mop it tomorrow! What great kids I couldn't ask for better ones.
Well I better get in bed I have not had a good sleep habit lately, and my sweet little Bryce has crawled into my bed and fell asleep so now I need to go put him in his bed.

What Princess are You??

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Be a Missionary

So I was visiting my friend Tara's blog and she had a wonderful post (which I suggest you go visit Lemos) on how she read in the Ensign an article on using the Internet to share the gospel. I never really thought about it that way, how neat that could be for someone who was just browsing by my blog and noticed my testimony, and that could be something that they could have been looking for. I truly do know that I am a member of the only true church, and I am thankful to be apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called of God and that we would not have the church here in this day with out him. I am so thankful for the Atonement, I know that my sin's can be forgiven and that I can be with my loved ones who have already passed on. I am so glad that I can know that my family can be together forever and that there is life after death. I also have a testimony in prayer. K now that if you are always on your knees asking Heavenly Father for strength and to lead you in the right direction he will. I know that my life is more meaningful when I live righteously and follow God's Plan for me. I am ever so thankful for parent's and grandparent's who taught by example. I only hope that I can teach my kids like they did. If any one ever has question's about The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints please go to lds.org they have alot of useful material. My wish to everyone is that they will be able to hear the gospel, and experience the peace of knowing Jesus Christ.

Board Kids

So Thursday late night I got so sick, with the stomach flu. I was in bed all day Friday so the kids were really good and just took care of themselves. Taylor was taking pictures of the boys out on the swing on Thursday night. The boys are so funny Taylor loves to take pictures of them.
They were being goofy out side I could here them from my window and new they were having fun, and Taylor was taking care them.
I don't know who took this picture of the fish in the fish tank, probably Haegen.
Taylor planned a sleep over upstairs with her brothers they got all the blankets and pillows out and made a bed on the floor. Taylor totally took care of them I didn't even know what was going on I was dead to the world. Probably because I knew that Taylor had it covered. Taylor is such a blessing I am so glad that I have her in our family.

Crazy Splash Park

Ok so we are a crazy bunch. We had play group the other day (the day it was cold and breezy), we went to the splash park. The kids still went into the water. That just profs how die hard kids really are. This is what I get when Haegen gets a hold of my camera.
Bryce just came in from the water he was shaking cold.
Bryce went back out to the water I was surprised he is my kid that hates to be cold.
Haegen looks like he is freezing right here.
Here are the bathing beauties, trying to get warm, they moved the chairs together and put their towels over them to try to stay warm.
Of course they had to get the famous Ring Pop's every time we go that is the only time they get them.
So all in all we all had a good time. The kids had tons of fun but they always do. We can't wait for the next time. It was actually a good day to go we were the only people there. Well we were the only crazy enough people to be there.
Good times, Good fun, Good Friends

Memories Sweet Memories

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.
It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. This is super fun.

Service

Ok my post stuff is so being way weird it wouldn't let me type with my pictures. So here goes. Today we all went to my grandma's for Family Home Evening to do her yard and mow the super tall weeds back in her field. The kids started out playing together which was way fun and good because they are second cousins and don't get to play together very much. Notice they have the whole big grass to play on but they are all piled on the porch. Then I had to show Haegen and his cousin in the weeds trying super hard to be big helpers. They are always trying to help out they are great kids. Well we had lot's of fun and will get together again soon.

Give Me Your Ideas

So I was just sitting here thinking about what can I do for some fun Enrichment Ideas, as most of you know I am the 2nd Counselor in the Relief Society which means I am over Enrichment night. I am soo not a creative person, give to something to copy GREAT, that I can handle. So if any one of you out there have any great ideas don't hesitate to share. You can even email me. I thought about doing like a spa night for mini class, but I'm having a hard time working out the details. Well I thought I would just add a little today while I was thinking about it.

Growing Up

So my little girl is growing up so fast I really can't believe how fast time flies. I guess it really hit me when she was cleaning out her closet she had a big pile of toys that she didn't want any more. On top of the pile is her My Little Pony Castle that she wanted soooo bad for Christmas 2 years ago. She loved this castle and had a million ponies to go with it. It was a special occasion if her brothers would get to touch it.
Taylor decided to give her castle to her cousin Ellcie. Ellcie aways would sit and admire the pony castle so you can imagine her excitement when her Taylor said she could take it home. It is so bitter sweet to see my first born turning into such a wonderful young woman.

Picnic and Fishing

So I guess that I totally did this back wards. But oh well, last Saturday night we had lot's of fun, we went down to Rhett's parents house on the Green River and had dinner, fished and watched fire works. Here Haegen is watching very intensely while Rhett's little brother is getting ready to throw out. Rhett's older brother is sitting in the chair behind them. Yep Rhett is the middle child of three boys. Can you imagine, three boys all with in 6 years of each other, not to mention being raised on the GREEN RIVER. I mean right on the green river there house is right there. I would have a heart attack especially with the stories I have heard.
I love this picture this is the tree that we fish under all the time. I don't know who hung this rope but I don't think any of the boys have got up enough courage to jump in with it. Rhett was talking about it that night but I said NO, I sort of like having a husband.
So then on to eat, Haegen is chasing around the puppy, every time we go down there all I hear is please can we have a puppy, and I always say no way bird dogs are way to hipper.
Here we are getting done eating and are just going to wait around for the fire works that Fudge (Rhett's younger bro.) was going to put on for us. The kids were trying to be patent, and I was trying not to freak out with all the mosquito's, and yep I even sprayed up, eww that stuff stinks.
So all in all we had a good relaxing night on the river.

End of T-Ball

So here goes the end of T-Ball season. Haegen played like a pro. He did such a great job on learning how the play the game and in listening to Grandpa Pete teach him the right way to play. He got a medal at the last game and he thinks it's pretty dang cool.Right here he had to show off the dirt on his pants because he slid on to base. They always think that, that is super cool to slide cuz, that's what the pro's do.
Here we have him concentrating hard on watching the ball so he can get the runner out.
Go Haegen Go, he got really good at chasing the ball and knowing when to chase it, notice the other kid not running just messing with his hat. T-Ball games are so funny.
So good job Haegen, next year you will be even better, and Bryce will get to play with you next year you guys will have loads of fun.

Fishing on The 4th of July

So we decided to go fishing on the morning of the fourth of July, we missed the parade but then I thought it is usually the same ol thing every year. We went up to Oaks Park which by the way I don't recommend for the fishing we only caught one little trout. But, just for the scenery I suggest you go up and relax and enjoy. The kids had tons of fun. They got board sitting there so they decided to go and play in the water. Then the wind picked up and they were cold. So they decided to take a rest on a blanket, and watched a DVD, ya we really know how to ruff it. I told Rhett remember the days when we would go fishing with out IPODS and DVD players? So finally Rhett caught a fish and let Taylor reel it in (since she didn't get to last time we went fishing on the Green River). After a few hours of fishing and me getting sunburned really sunburned, we headed for home. We got home Haegen fell asleep and we all got cleaned up to get ready for the big firework night. I just had to take a picture of Bryce wearing his sun glassed he always wears them upside down they must feel better that way and they have to wear their hat's and glasses to be just like dad. We had Lot's of fun hopefully we are building memories that they will hold on to forever.
