A Night of Enlightenment

Well last night I had a great night of spiritual enrichment. We met at my house and talked about three important topics.

Camile talked about the importance of Patriarchal Blessing's, and how they are our personal compass to the world. I thought that she just did a great job. She touched all the right spots.

Then Cheryl talked about the importance of keeping a personal journal, and she did a great job also. She mentioned how she writes in her journal every night and how if heaven forbid anything ever happened to her her small children would have those to read and get to know who there mom was. She also said how she feels that our journal's need to reflect our true selves not how the world views us but how we truly are. That was an excellent point. I notice as I try to write in my journal's I find myself thinking of ok now if some one reads this I better write it this way instead of just wrighting my true feeling's.

Mandy also did a fabulous job. She talked about journaling my scrapbook's and how she kept a detailed journal of her pregnancy and just treasures it and always will. This is such a great way to journal, I think that my kids will love to show their kids their childhood scrapbooks and their kids will absolutely love them. I always love to try to look back and see were and what my mom and dad did as kid's.

Then I had Kim talk about Scripture Study and she was great she bore her testimony on the Book of Mormon and how she loved to share her testimony with people when she served her mission, my sister also told about her mission, and how we can use lots of different ways to teach our children the scripture's. One of my favorite ways is to just let them watch the Living Scripture's DVD's, my boys just love those.

All in all I thought that is was a great night and I am so glad that the Sister's who came did come they all added a unique spirit to the night. The spirit was strong, and it just reaffirmed that I had chose the right people to talk about the different subject's that night.

So thank you to all of you sister's who added to and came to this night. I am sorry for those who missed out and couldn't make it. Hopefully we will do something like that again soon and everyone can attend.

Feeling Guilty

Okay so my friend Michele put a post on her blog about how in church we had an anonomous survey on how many times we have family home evening and do our family scripture study and our personal scripture study........Well let me just say that I was really embarrassed and I was sure glad that we did not have to put our name on the paper, especially when I am in the Relief Society Presidency and am supposed to be an example.
Well the good thing is that before this came out I had planned on having a PJ's night for Relief Society. The P stand's for Patriarchal Blessing the J stand's for Journaling and the S stand's for Scripture Study. We are meeting and I have some special ladies lined up to talk about these subject's. I am really excited about our night. I think that it will be very special and I am always glad to hear some other idea's on good ways to get things done from other sister's.
So Michele I accept your challenge to read my scripture's more. Like you said we take time to read all of our favorite blogs so why can't we take time to read our scripture's.
So good luck to all of you who are going to take time to Scripture Study and wish me luck in the process.

Happy Birthday Dad

So I am a day late on this because I haven't felt well. Yesterday was my dad's birthday. So Happy Birthday DAD. They went up to Flaming Gorge Lodge to eat dinner. I had my Brother and sister pick up Taylor and Bryce to go while Haegen and I just hung out at home and watched a movie. Bryce said that they had lot's of fun.

So I looked through all my pictures on my computer and this was the only picture I have of my dad. I guess I need to get some pictures of him. Well Happy Birthday dad we are glad you are our dad.

Oh Not Again

So Haegen is doing ok I sort of thought that he would bounce back a little better, but he is still doing ok. Then I got the stomic flu again yep again. This is the worst flu I have ever had. The body aches alone are just horrible. But we will survive it sure makes you thankful for your health. Taylor sure is a big helper. Poor little Bryce is being so patient with out his mommy and his best friend (Haegen). Bryce tried to wake up Haegen the other day and I said no Bryce leave him alone he is sick....so Bryce ran down stairs and started crying. When he came back up stairs I said why were you crying and he said cuz your mean. So I guess I am mean because I wouldn't let him wake up his best friend.

Haegen's Tonsil's

So yesterday Haegen had his Tonsil's out. Dr. Catten said they were huge. He said that if there was a book on tonsil's Haegen would be on the first page. I knew when Haegen was a baby he would probably need them out because it sounded like he had a hard time breathing when he was asleep. Well last May he got tonsillitis really bad, they had to give him steroid's to shrink them. You could hear him trying to breath. So Dr. Beals referred him to Dr. Catten and there we have it. I am glad we got it done before school starts. Here Haegen is waiting to go back he was in a really good mood and did not act scared at all. He was just coloring while he waited. With his blanket and Bear. This is the Bear I talked about in a previous post, when he said he couldn't sleep down stair's so he went up stair's and pretended that his bear was Bryce so he could get to sleep. Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever heard. I am glad that they are so close.
He is just being goofy and almost getting board of the wait.
They finally came to get him and he just said by mom love you. This little girl next door went after Haegen and she was crying it was so sad. I'm glad Haegen didn't hear her, I don't know if he would have been so brave if he knew some one else was sad.
They brought him back to us after the surgery and he was just fine just really tired. He didn't even cry when he wok up. He saw me and said Hi mom and then went back to sleep.

We had him eat a Popsicle right after, they like to make sure he can keep it down. He eat the whole thing.
Then he fell back to sleep.

Seams like forever, when it was only 30 min.

So I am just glad that it is all over with. I am so thankful that it was only tonsil's. As they wealed him away I thought about those parent's and children who are being wealed away for a really serious surgery like heart or brain or something major like that and how they must feel and that I am so lucky that I haven't ever had to go threw some thing that horrible. I thank my Heavenly Father each day that I have healthy children. I am so very blessed.

So on a lighter note....the day before I got Haegen some movies to watch and I saw Gremlins, I said oh mom watched this movie when I was little, So they had to get it and I was telling them oh see how cute they are then after midnight if they eat they turn into these little monsters. So the night before the surgery the boys were in the tub and I said ok Haegen you can't eat or drink after midnight tonight. Bryce looks at me with this funny look and said "Why mommy Haegen will turn into a monster"? I just started laughing...I said no because the Doctor told me he can't or he will throw up during his surgery. Bryce said oh, It was so funny. It is amazing what they think of. My boys hear everything.

Yard Sellin

So what a long day. I had the bright idea to have a yard sale. It went pretty good, I had quite a few people stop by. I have tonz of Taylor's clothes that are so cute and are in super good condition and I thought I would sell more of them. Well I didn't put it in the paper so in two weeks I think I will put it in the paper then go one more time then off to D.I. it all goes. So It was a nice day to do it. It was a little hot in the morning but then it turned over cast a little. Mandy came to visit me while I was sitting there being board. Thanks Mandy. Then I am not kidding the Physco BEE's came out. Just ask Mandy they are crazy. I think they have made a nest in the crack in my stairs. Well enough about Bee's. I have had a really boring life lately. I don't even have new pictures to post. Life should get busy here in the next couple of weeks with school starting. I guess I will just lay back and enjoy the board em for a min. Haegen is going to get his Tonsils out on Monday morning in Roosevelt. I am nervous but I always am. I know that every thing will be good and it's not that big of a deal but I'm a mom. I will have my dad and brother give him a blessing the night before and all will be fine. Well I guess I should try to get to sleep so I can maybe actually get to church on time tomorrow.

Late Night's

Well here it is almost 2:00 a.m. again. I don't know why but I just can not sleep lately. I have never had that problem before. I always could go to sleep no matter what. So I thought I would check on all my blogging friends. I just think that this is the coolest thing ever.
Well today I got things ready for my first yard sale ever. Taylor has tons and tons of clothes to sell. Hope fully we will get a pretty good turn out tomorrow.
I just got done planning some of our up coming Enrichment Events. I am really excited, we have some really fun stuff coming up. I am so glad that I have this opportunity to serve my fellow sister's.
Ouch, my arm is killing me. I was sitting on my front stairs this evening and this phyco BEE came at me and was trying to get into my hair. So I was freaking out trying to get it to get away, running around, yelling for Rhett, then felt the sting on the back of my arm. Rhett came out and swatted it then stepped on it. I am not even kidding that bee was crazy, it was really chasing me. So now my arm is swollen and hurts.
Well now that you have read my boring BEE story I guess I will end with that, and go to bed well try to go to bed.
