So I just have to say that I thought our Testimony Meeting today at church was great!!! The spirit there was so strong and we had back to back people standing to bear their testimonies. Bishop had to stand to end it, there were no breaks. That is great. I think that I belong to such a great ward and I love all the people in it. Our ward always has such great testimonies and such wonderful and talented people belong to my ward.
So It was the Presidency's lesson in Relief Society today and it was my turn. I always get so nervous. I get so insecure thinking how do I get up and teach these wonderful women, I'm sure that they know more then me. Well, my answer is because the lesson's I give are for me and they teach me.
My lesson today was on "Come Let Us Adore Him" I felt like I needed to give a lesson on putting Christ back in the center of Christmas. It talked about simplifying and not making it such a big hustle and bustle. All the craziness takes away from the true meaning of Christmas. It also talked about teaching your family to give and to do service, that is the best way to feel Christ in our home.
President David O. McKay declared: “True happiness comes only by making others happy —the practical application of the Savior’s doctrine of losing one’s life to gain it. In short, the Christmas spirit is the Christ spirit, that makes our hearts glow in brotherly and sisterly love and friendship and prompts us to do kind deeds of service.
Pres. Monsen said “It is the spirit of the gospel of Jesus Christ, obedience to which will bring ‘peace on earth,’ because it means—good will toward all men.”
Giving, not getting, brings to full bloom the Christmas spirit. Enemies are forgiven, friends remembered, and God obeyed. The spirit of Christmas illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than things. To catch the real meaning of the “spirit of Christmas,” we need only drop the last syllable, and it becomes the “Spirit of Christ.”
It is my hope that in this holiday season we can return to the true spirit of Christmas. I know that our Heavenly Father sent his only begotten son here to earth because he loved us all and wanted us all to have the chance to return to him someday. I also know that in the Christmas season it will truly bring the spirit of Christmas into your home as you teach your children service and love for your fellow neighbors. The best gift we can give our children is to learn how to have the pure love of Christ. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

I feel bad I missed your lesson. I was in primary on Sunday. It sounds like it was really good. I agree with what you said about having a great ward. Our ward is the best. And testimony meeting was great, but it seems like I say that every testimony meeting. Further proof that our ward Rocks.
