Mission Call

So yesterday my baby brother Keaton received his mission papers. He is going to Oaxaca Mexico. I will get pictures of the big event. He does not leave until March 17th. Congratulations Keaton. We know you are really excited.

Taylor turns Thirteen

Oh wow I can not believe that I am the mother of a teenager. I just hope and pray that she has better sense than I did. lol She is such a good kid. We finally gave in and gave her a cell phone for her birthday. She has to help pay for it every month, I think that helps them to appreciate what they have a whole lot more.
Haegen told me that he wanted a cell phone and I started to laugh. I said Haegen Taylor is thirteen and just barley got one. I swear kids think that they are 20 years old now a days.

Quick Catch Up

Wow I went to one of my friends blogs and noticed that mine said last updated 4 weeks ago. Wow I knew that I was slacken' but holy cow, four weeks.
So just a quick run down on life. Not much to report. I have been subbing alot and loving every min of it. I subbed last week at the middle school in the special ed department and absolutely loved every min of it. Every one of those kids just stole my heart.
Well I have two birthdays done and one more one it's way. Rhett and Haegen had there birthdays and had fun now I have Taylor's next week..... that's right everyone I will officially be the mother of a teenager. (sigh) That is weird. I am not old enough lol.
Well this weekend I will try to get pictures on here of Grandpa's big elk and birthday party's.

Our New Fisherman, and Not So Big Bucks

So one night Rhett was across the river and Haegen came in and said mom can I go fishing. I thought sure why not. So he went and got worms from grandpa and went right in front of the house to fish. Well not 5 min. later he came up to the house with a catfish on yelling mom I got one. He was so excited. He took it off put it in a bucket of water and went back down to catch three more that night. He was so proud of himself. Bryce just liked to stand my and watch. He is not much for standing still and being quiet.

Not Rhett will be mad that I even bothered with this. lol He says it's not the horns you eat. (Tell yourself that hunny.) So we got the Deer hunt over and the Elk is still on. I think he got so much crap on his deer that he will hold out for a decent elk.
He said he only shot it because the kids said that they wanted to see a Deer. ......Right. Who wanted to see a dead deer?

Ok my poor little niece Ellcie.  Here is how the grandkid list goes.
Taylor--girl
Braxton--boy
Haegen--boy
Bryce--boy
Ellcie--girl
Luke--boy
Carver--boy

now Dillon and Heather are going to have another boy.  Way exciting but poor little Ellcie.  Don't get me wrong she is so cute and it doesn't bother her in the least.  She knows how to hang with the boys but, be a girl all the same.

Congratulations Dillon, Heather and baby Carver.

Found My Calling

So as I mentioned in my last blog, I am substitute teaching this week for my Uncle Chris Manwaring who got the new Art teacher job at the High School as the old one retired.
(Good Job Chris)  Well I have absolutely loved it.  I have been in between decisions lately.  I was thinking about going to the Prime Cut Academy because I do like to do hair and it only takes about a year to get through it.  Well ever since I was in high school I wanted to be a high school teacher.  Well instead of pursuing that I got married and started a family.
So any way I was talking to my Grandma Manwaring and Uncle Chris one day, and they really gave me some good advice.  They had me ask myself some good questions to.  Like do I want a fast fix to a job or follow my dream.  Well so I thought well ya I think being an elementary teacher would be the job for me.  Well after subbing this week at the High School  that is where I want to be.  I absolutely loved High School myself and the kids are really great here.  You don't have to babysit because they are old enough to know what they should be doing and you just need to help them stay on track.  Don't get me wrong I know that there is alot more to it then that and I have no idea after one week what it is all about, but I just love this age.  Well after I finish school which I have not even started I might have a change of mind but as for now here I am.
So after talking to my Grandma and Chris and a good friend from my past I have decided to go to school.  That is really a scary decision.  But, it will all be worth it in the end.  Right???
See I'm not even done with this entry and I have second thoughts on age groups.  I teach the eight year old class in primary and I think that they absolutely great and would be fun to teach also.........

School...School and School

So I am one blog slackin mama lately.  I didn't even get pictures of my kids first day of school.  How sad is that.
Taylor started the seventh grade this year.  I so can not believe that I have a seventh grader.  She like school as much as a 12 year old would.
Haegen is in 1st this year and he had a rocky start.  I loved every min. of kindergarten but I think that was hugely related to his very best friend and neighbor was in his class.  This year the first week I heard I hate my new school.  It's to long and it's to hot.  But, now we are doing Lot's better.
Bryce, oh my little Bryce.  He is in Pre school again this year and of course he hates it.  Any thing requiring him to sit and listen he hates.
I am subbing at the High School all this week so the grandma's are in charge of getting Bryce to school.  He already pulled the I'm sick card yesterday.  So if he goes to school he gets to come home and pick out a hot wheels car.  i know bribes not good, but what do you do with a 5 year old.
