Haegen's Baptism

Haegen had his birthday on Friday the 15th and we Baptized him the next day. We decided to do it this way because Rhett would be working for the Stake Baptisms and we didn't want to wait to long.
It was a really nice day. Most of our family was there. Haegen was not nervous or scared at all. He was really cute about the whole thing. My little brother Dillon Baptized him and My dad Confirmed him. Dillon bought him a suite for his big day and he looked like a handsome little missionary. It was so funny to watch the little cousins faces when they opened the curtain to the fount. They were in awe. Dillon has a 2 year old and he thought it was really neat. The spirit was really strong. I'm always so grateful when we have these opportunities and when the spirit is strong, because Rhett doesn't go to church every week and I love it when he can feel the spirit like that. He knows that the church is true and everything and he promotes Family Home Evening and Family prayer but he would rather go hunting or fishing then to Sunday church. So this day was good on all accounts. Rhett went into the dressing room to help Haegen and we had a good day. One person that was greatly missed was my grandpa Mecham. But I know that he was there in spirit and that he is truly happy that Haegen choose to get Baptized. I also know that my grandpa is thankful that I was diligent in getting my children to church so that they can learn and make the right decisions.
The Sunday before all this Rhett was gone working and the boys were not in the mood to sit through Sacrament and I had to get after them. When I was sitting in class thinking oh my heck why do I even bother, (doing the pity pot thing) it came to me so strong, I pictured Haegen getting Baptized and a voice said "this is why you bother."
I know that the church is true and I have faith that if I keep doing the things that I need to do and if I am diligent in teaching my children the right paths then eventually Rhett will join me in church and then in the temple.
Well I sort of got off on Haegen's day. So any way he has been going to scouts now and loves it so much. He got his book and was doing all the things he could to pass them off.
I will post pictures of his big day when I get them from my brother. Of course I couldn't find my camera that day, come to find out it got kicked under my couch and we found it two days later.

Haegen Turns 8

Wow I can not believe that my little guy is eight years old. He is such a cutie pie. Well his birthday was on a Friday, so he had a friend party that day. Thank goodness he has alot of cousins because it was fall break week end and only 2 friends from school showed up to his party. But I don't even think that he noticed because he had all his cousins there.
So he partied it up on Friday and he got a new bmx bike from us and lots of fun things from everyone else. He had lots of fun.

Wow It's Been A Long Time.....

So I will be the first to admit that I am a Blogger Slacker. Lots of things have changed. We did move into a new house in July. We absolutely love it. It is right in town again, and that I love. Being out in Jensen was ok for me great for Rhett and the kids, but I love to be in town.
Well Rhett went back to work on the rigs, which has been nice to know the days he works and have the 7 days off. Him working for my dad was great but you never knew when he would get called out.
All the kids are back in school this year. Taylor is in 8th, and loving it. I can't believe how beautiful and smart she is. She is just growing up to be such a wonderful young woman.
Haegen is in 2nd. He is loving being back in school. He is the type of kid that loves to have something to do. He is the hardest little worker ever. It's almost like I have a little man of the house around when Rhett is gone. I needed to change the air filter in my air conditioning unit which is under my house and hard to get to and Haegen said " oh mom I know how to do it I watched dad so I can do it!" and he did.
Bryce started kindergarten and is doing great. He loves to go to school. But after he gets pretty board waiting for his brother and sister to get home.
As for me I am doing great loving my new house, my great hardworking hubby, and three great kids. I am going to start to sub more again this year. I have stayed away for this first few weeks just so I could get the kids situated in school. But now that they are and doing great I have booked a few jobs.
Well I guess that is all for now as soon as I get the Internet hooked up at my home I will blog more and post pictures.

Looking For a House

So we have decided that it is time to start looking for a house to rent. We are out of debt and have a savings and Rhett got his job on the rig back now for about two months. I just want my own house again. We are reconsidering building in Jensen, just because I don't love it down there. The kids and Rhett love it out there so we see? But, as for now I decided that it is best for my family to find a house to rent so we can feel like a normal family again. It gets so frustrating looking. I have found fourplex's but I guess I'm being picky. I just want a three or four bedroom1.5 bath house with a yard. My kids are use to playing outside and Rhett lives for yard work. So I guess I'll just keep looking and if it's meant to be then things will work out. So wish me luck.

I Guess Im Due For an Update

So I am so behind on my blogging that I can't believe it. I used to be so good at updating, but times have changed. Well I have been pretty busy this year substitute teaching. The past two weeks I have been subbing for the 6th grade music class, and I have really enjoyed it but this teacher has her work cut out for her. This age of kids is pretty hard. I had to help with the Final Music Concert for the end of the year, and I was pretty proud of how well the kids did. I had to have all their final grades entered for report cards. I'm telling you I never knew how stressed out the teachers can get.
Haegen and Bryce are playing baseball, and I think I could have some pro ball players on my hands. (how could I not with the peterson genes). They really love to practice in the back yard with Taylor and Rhett. I wish Taylor would want to play softball because I think she would be really great at it. I enrolled Taylor in tennis and she has not really gotten into it and loved it yet I hope she will.
Rhett finally got his job at Frontier back, and we are so grateful. It has been a hard transition from him working for my dad and being home every night and being able to take Bryce to work with him on shop days so I can work to being gone for seven days. That part is really hard on the boys. They are daddy's boys through and through. But the money and benefits are better. I am just so thankful that my dad was able to work Rhett and they could stay busy this past year. I don't know what we would have done with out my dad.
I am still the 8 year old Primary Teacher in the Jensen ward and now I get to have my very own Haegen in my class. It will be fun to see them grow all year.
Well I guess that is enough for now and I will try to be better to post and get some pictures on here.

Meet Brusier

So here is some background. A few weeks before the first snow out dog Gracie came up missing. It was the strangest thing, she was following me around the yard at night and I turned around and she was gone. I called for her and called for her. Then I called up to Rhett's mom and dad's because sometimes when I wouldn't let her in right away she would go over there to get in. Well she wasn't there. So the next day we put out posters and looked for her everywhere. Well fast forward to about three weeks ago, Haegen and Bryce were out back playing baseball and the ball went into the flower bed, Haegen went over to get it and yelled I found Gracie. Well she must have went to the flower garden and died. So my super cute friend Mandy who always has my back heard about Gracie and knew how much my boys loved her, and new some one that needed to find a good home for Bruiser. So now we have a new dog, and the kids love him to death. He is so funny.
He loves Bryces super rabbit cookie.
He would chase cookie around the yard and when cookie would stop Bruiser would push him to keep going. Taylor says he is cookies personal trainer. lol

So thanks Mandy I owe you yet agian.
